IPOGEO -TASKLIGHT

Ipogeo was created as part of a collaboration between Artemide and myself while I studied at the Royal College Art. The design of Ipogeo was inspired by the undelivered promise of many task lights which suggest a delicate friction free movement, but in reality have stiff movement or have a disappointing drift after they have been positioned. Ipogeo aims to create a delicate operation allowing finger tip operation of a room scale light. The use of counterweights allows a reach of 4m while only requiring a small relatively light base.
